The Edge Treatment Center is an outpatient program. We can provide you with resources and help guide you through the detox and inpatient process.
Treatment Phases
Inpatient
Residents are able to completely focus on getting well and sober without the distractions of everyday life.
Outpatient
Those undergoing an outpatient program can continue working and remain close to family and friends.
Sober Living
Sober living houses are living environments for those who want to maintain abstinence from alcohol and drugs.

Detox
Detox typically represents the first step towards long-term sobriety. The detox process helps the body safely eliminate toxins related to drugs and alcohol. It also supports individuals as they transition from acute intoxication through withdrawal and finally to a place of physical and emotional stabilization.
Successful detox occurs in three stages:
1 | Evaluation
All individuals will receive a comprehensive assessment to detect present drugs and alcohol in the body. We’ll also screen for additional co-occurring health and psychiatric issues that require additional support.
2 | Stabilization
Resources and comfort are provided throughout the withdrawal process. Withdrawal symptoms can vary in intensity depending on the substance, frequency of use, and other health considerations. Clients may receive counseling and medication during this stage.
3 | Entry into long-term treatment
While detox provides stabilization, it is not a substitution for effective substance abuse treatment. This is the time for preparation for an inpatient level of care.

Inpatient
Inpatient care entails 24/7 multidisciplinary treatment that aligns and supports the individual need of each client. Clients receive a variety of individual and group psychotherapies throughout their treatment.
The length of inpatient treatment varies on individual treatment need and demonstrated progress and growth.
Typical areas of focus may include:
- Relapse prevention
- Life skills
- Trauma support
- Family and marital dynamics
- Self-esteem
- Mindfulness and relaxation
- Medication evaluation and monitoring
- Experiential therapies (yoga, art, acupuncture, etc.)
- Gender-specific issues

Intensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) provides clinical structure and support to clients who do not need 24/7 monitoring. Most clients attend groups and therapies for a portion of the day while also working or attending school. This type of program encourages individuals to balance real-world needs while maintaining a strong foundation in recovery.
Both IOP and inpatient programs address similar topics and needs. However, IOP programs tend to focus on additional life skills like healthy relationships, long-term recovery needs and struggles, and independent living.

Sober Living
There’s no doubt that an individual’s living arrangements can significantly affect their recovery. Going back home may not be an option, especially if other people in your family have used drugs or alcohol. Likewise, you may not feel ready to manage the daunting responsibilities of living on your own immediately after concluding treatment.
Sober living provides a safe refuge for like-minded people dedicated to their journey of recovery. You’ll enjoy the freedom associated with managing work or school – while also receiving the support and accountability you need to stay sober.
Many people develop lifelong friendships in their sober homes. After all, you’re around people who get it – there’s no need to hide your struggles or fears.
